The world on my head

living in Africa..quite an experience. No you dont get lion and elephants running around.funny enough I last saw an elephant or lion in grade 8 or something, but im stil crazy about this place anyway.
All my life ive known nothing better than my home Africa and i dont think it gets better than this.
Growing up here has been one of a kind experience.one filled with Advenvutre definitely.
Ok my intro:
My name is Palesa(meaning flower :-) )and yes im as beautiful and fragile as one
I grew up in South africa gauteng in a township known as Sharpeville, infact there is much history associated with this place a whole Day is set aside to celebrate it..Human rights Day 21 march.
How i grow up?anybody who has ever been to any township in south africa knows what its like...fast and furious.I mean the diversity is unbelievable..from the old people who worship culture and tradition,to the youth who seem to worship hiphop culture (the niggers),kwaito culture(im talking mabantsola) ..to mabotswa(now this are the African italians).need i say more.
the fascinating thing about the africa ive known is that its not the africa that the world knows.this place has that missing link..it has humanity..one thing is you cant go around in the streets and not say Hello(dumela in Sotho) its seen as been disrespectfull really.
Now My school days..bearing in mind im 19 was something else..i mean it was no different from what every child and teen experience while in school..now because of the diversity that made it quite intersting..I mean we have 11 official languages and i speak 5 myself been the intellect i am.but enough about myself,as i was saying you went to school and you where expected to choose which group ill call it to follow.Would you be the american wanna be,the rastafarian who is all into africanism..the hard core Zulu who loves tradition..or yourself..and thats where most people lost it...oh yeah Im black (and I love it).and I chose to be myself and i must say that made my life that much more easier..Im Zulu right but i was rised in an environment dominated By Sotho speaking people..so i happen to now speak sotho more than Zulu
